Cleanout Valve

The horizontal drain connects to the sanitary tee and goes to the main drain. The sanitary tee is right above the cleanout valve. Renovating kitchen and the horizontal drain won't have a slope. Would it be possible to switch the two? That is, connect the horizontal drain to the cleanout valve and use the sanitary tee opening as the cleanout valve. Thanks in advance.

The cleanout fitting, it should not have a valve on it, is not designed to be used as a fixture connection. You could interchange the two connections, however, and put the cleanout one on top.

Hey hj,
The cleanout does not have a valve. It is a threaded cap that covers the cleanout. Will I need to use glue when connecting a male and female threaded connection? Thanks in advance.

I guess you did not understand. You cannot connect to the cleanout fitting. If anything, you have to remove the two fittings and interchange them.
