Hi,

I had my bathroom replumbed last year with Wirsbo Pex tubing (it had pex(?) fasteners/rings and brass fittings). I am now planning on getting the rest of my house replumbed with Pex. The quotes I have are lower for those pros that use the metal clips than for those that use similar pex (?) rings to my bathroom job.

1. I've read various "reviews," but my general impression is the wirsbo pex system (with its pex rings) is considered better than the metal clips/rings. True?

2. Is it ok to connect two types of "systems"? For example, Wirsbo with something else.

Sorry if I've left out too much info, or am confusing terms. I'm a less than a rookie at this.

Thanks...

I would consider Wirsbo PEX to be tha better system as it keeps the full size dia. through all the fittings. That said, I use the SSC crimp system because I am a repair plumber and I can accomplish work on more of the different types of PEX with that system. If I were a new construction plumber that was only going to see my own work I would use Wirsbo. I can only fit just so many tools and parts in my van...

Yes as long as a compatable transition method is used.
