with the high cost of copper I am considering using roll CPVC under my slab. I have seen this done in some markets, but, I have been unable to find anything in the local "good ole boy" code. I would expect that irc2003 would be sufficient to get by the inspector. yet, I have not been able to find anything on it there either. is this an acceptable practice currently?

PEX is the pipe to use. I have seen rolled CPVC in use and I personally would not use it .to stiff. PEX pex pex. do not leave it exposed to the sun.

the best to put under the slab is the Wirsbo pex....
the CPVC is too crappy to trust,
whatever you do install I would consider wrapping the
pex or cpvc with some rubber insualton in teh slab to protect it from the concrete...
