I was wondering what the best water pressure to have in the house water system is ? The house is a two family feed with a city 3/4 water line.

If the pressure is over 80 psi, then you can install a pressure reducing valve. If it is under 50 psi, the only way to increase it is with a properly installed booster pump system. Between the two pressures you should be okay.
