Looking for some advice on how to fix this problem.

I have a downstairs sink - the only faucet that does this - the left side - hot water knob - that when you turn on the water - the higher the pressure the faster this sound goes, it sounds like a litttle put-put-put.....as if you were to put your lips together and then blow out your lips to make this silly noise. The more the pressure is turned up, the faster the noise is with less water pressure the higher you go.

This is a new faucet and supply line that I installed and it has me totally baffled.....

Any help for a do it yourself warrior?

Thanks

Did you replace the shutoff valve at the wall? You may have some debris trapped in the supply pipe, or the old washer in the shutoff valve is fluttering.

Either a loose washer in the shut-off valve or in the hot water stem of your faucet. I would check the faucet first. Unscrew the valve stem and clear out the line while you're at it in case there is any debris. Then check for a loose bibb washer.
