Need plumber, West Bloomfield MI

Anybody here service this area or can recommend to me a local plumber? I want a person's name and not a company name that might send some amateur out. I've got a cracked and warped PVC toilet flange that needs to be replaced and it's a little too tricky a job for me.

Your chances of finding someone here are slim... We are from all over the internet. Talk to friends, family, and neighbors. Find out who they use and if they are happy with the work they have had done. Good luck with your selection.

You have subsribed to the fallacy that the Internet is a perfect solution to all problems. If you read critically, you will notice that the people in this site are just like those in your neighborhood. We have various levels of expertise and experience, and the one who could be in your area, might not be the best one in your phone book.

It is understandable and correct that you want someone qualified for your job. However, consider that just because this problem is a big deal to you and beyond your capabilities to repair doesn't mean it is so complex that only a journeyman plumber with 40 years experience can fix it. As Redwood suggests, check with friends and neighbors, and if that fails, use an established plumbing company that is licensed and bonded. In other words, avoid well meaning DIY neighbors and friends and handymen who supposedly can do it all for cheap. Now you've had three replies. One from Connecticut, one from Arizona, and one from Washington. Two of the responses are from professional plumber, and one is just an avid DIYer who like to think he know when to call in the pros. So do your local research.

BTW it would be a good thing to have your all PVC flange replaced with one that has a stainless steel ring.
