Being familiar with the need for dielectric unions when joining iron pipe to copper, I'm wondering what the proper fitting is to hook copper pipe to a steel pressure tank?
I need to reduce the 1-1/4 FPT on the tank to connect to 1" copper. My first thought was a brass reducer bushing but I'm not finding this large of a bushing readily available.
What is common practice in such an application?

Get a 1.25" MPT to 1" copper adapter.

We use dielectric unions when connecting galvanized pipe to copper. How does your suggestion circumvent the fact that one should not have copper pipe fittings screwed into a steel tank?

I use a brass reducer and brass tank tee, not copper. If I were building a tee, I'd use sch 40 PVC before I'd use copper (and my customer agrees after I explain why.

I use a brass or SS reducer (I carried at least one of each in the van at all times) and brass tank tee. If I were building a tee, I'd use sch 40 PVC before I'd use copper (and my customer always agreed after I explained why).

Brass- that's what i'm thinking but have not found such a fitting locally.
I am not doing a T as this is not a bladder tank.
