I am replacing a round bowl with an elongated bowl but the door wont clear the new toilet, I will need to install an 1 1/2" offset flange. The waste pipe and original flange are ABS in a concrete ground floor installation. My question is how to remove the original flange without damaging the waste pipe? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Offset flanges are not approved in my area because of the Ledge.

Sometimes they will break out carefully, if they are old or the installer did not use enough cement.

I would need to see a picture to see how deep your closet bend is to tell you how to proceed.

it is not an easy thing to do and if you mess up you will need to cut the whole thing out..meaning the closet bend.

send a few pic's and let us take a peek.

Moving the opening will not help you unless you have the wrong roughin toilet, because the difference in the bowls is in the front, not the distance between the pipe in the floor and the wall. but to answer your question, I would not advise a DIY'er to try removing a glued on flange because if done incorrectly the floor will have to be opened and a new riser or bend installed.

I dont have any pics, but the objective is to move the entire toilet back the 1 1/2" toward the wall (there is plenty of space to do so) the door only hits by about 1/2" to 3/4". It is an inside the waste pipe flange......

This job is beyond DIY. Get a professional plumber to move the flange to proper position and install a Toto Drake. End of problem.

My rough in is 12", would using a 14" rough in toilet move the bowl back 2" ?
thanks

A 14" toilet will not fit on a 12" rough

If you moved the flange back back to 10", you could still install a 10" toilet.

A 10" round toilet on a 10" flange, would be out 26-1/4" from the wall.
A 12" round toilet on a 12" flange would be out 27-1/4" from the wall.
