Adding Second Bathroom Sink..

Right now we have a long bathroom sink with 1 sink basin right in the middle. We want to get a new countertop and put 2 sink basins in.

Can we run the water from the existing shut off valves to both of the new sinks? Or, would we have to re-pipe to have 2 seperate sets of shut off valves under each basin?

Is it OK to run the drain lines to a "T" connection where the 1 sink is currently draining??

Any help would be appreciated!

For the cost of a couple of valves and some pipe, I would definitely put in two sets of valves. Problem down the road, you can shut down one side and keep the other operational.
