I have a problem with my toilet, this has been going on for a while but when we flush the toilet, it just sits there and goes now where, sometimes it over flows. We have snaked the drains and also the one on top of our roof but the problem still remains. We have cleared the blocks that were in the lines but it still will not flush. One night I hearded a loud boom under the house and the floor shaked. I wondered if this was connected? does any one have any suggestions????

I suspect the drain is clogged and the snake you used was a typical homeowner special that was too small to clear it. If it was long enough to reach the clog, it likely just push through without removing it. What you should do is have a professional plumber with a professional sized snake auger the drain. My bet is that will cure your problem.

You said you snaked the drains, which was not necessary, but did you snake the toilet itself. That is where the problem is and once it is fixed you will not have to snake the drains or the roof vent or replace the toilet.
