Kitchen Sink Trap Placement

I just installed a new kitchen sink. The sink drain is about 8 inches to the left of the drain tee in the wall. Where should I place the trap? At the end of the tailpiece, or right to the tee in the wall?

A dishwasher will be draining into the tailpiece.

End of the tailpiece, then route the drain to the trap location.
