I had a tenant who was a plumber and when he left, (owning money), he left some tools, torches, and three acetylene bottles. It's been a few years so I figure they are mine to sell.

My questions are:
Do I need to look for some certification dates? and
What might be a good price to ask on Craigslist??

Thanks for any help.

Around here, it's common for the larger tanks to be leased, but I'm not sure about the smaller ones. Check with a local supplier.

The tanks alone aren't worth much. If you have a decent torch setup on it it's probably worth $60-$100. More if you have extra tips.

go to a plumbing shop nearby

the only thing of real value that you have
is the brass regualtor and hose kit

that is probably worth about $135 -200... new..

your best bet is to call around and see if any plumbers
in your area would want them all for $$

if you were in my town I would glady buy the
tanks from you for about 10-30 bucks each..

I know I can get about a 50 dollar return credit on
my account at the supply house.....

so you can get something out of the left behind junk

T-anks for the help. :D. I'll ask 20 bucks for them. I also got 4 torches but only 1 turbo that I'll probably keep for a while. However, I've found that when I need a turbo torch, I need a plumber.

what kind of torches????

I am in need of a new regualtor and turbo torch

mine has a minute leak in the gears and I have
pissed the gas out of a couple of mc tanks cause I forget to shut off the tank..

what are the other torches like....???

prestolite torches with the long hoses????

if you want something for them all and they still
all work.... please send me a private message

Of course, try to ship an acetylene tank, and the next voices you hear could come from Homeland Security.

Not me... I'm still waiting for one of those Coleman lanterns that sell so good on **** and get shipped air mail to do some damage. I imagine a few get shipped with gasoline in the tank.
