I have a 30 gallon tank in my house currently, I am upgrading to a 3/4 hp because my other 1/2 isn't working anymore. Should I put in another 80 gallon tank in so the pump doesn't have to turn on/off. On guy says yes the other says I don't need it because it is going to cost me 700 and only replace it when I need to, and the pump should last even in the 30 gallon. But I want to know what is going to save me money in the long run. Plus I have an irrigation system. What do you guys think?

1/2hp and 3/4hp what. Jet or Submersible pump?

Does this pump cycle while the irrigation is being used?

submersible, and is the franklin aqua pump really better than berkley, guold, etc.
Irrigation: never was able to use the old pump because this is a new house for me and it wasn't working when I got there

You might want to look into a Cycle Stop Valve and a smaller Bladder Tank.

I don't know anything about the Franklin pumps. I do know they bought out Jacuzzi to start making their first pumps. I don't hold a lot of love for the Jacuzzi brand of pumps. So what they did to improve on them is anyone's guess. At least they have the Franklin Motor. I can vouch for that.
