We just discovered mold in our attic, on the wood roof planks. We had our roof replaced 9 years ago and had a ridge vent installed as well. We had no problem with mold in the attic prior to the new roof installation. A recent bathroom vent installation caused us to notice the mold in our attic. We do have two gable vents. We just found out that we do not have soffit vents and the roof edge is too tight to install any new soffit vents. Is his true? Do they make soffit vents for tight rooflines? If you wouldn't mind, could you give us any suggestions as to the best way to go about fixing this problem? We appreciate any helpful advise you can offer.
