I wimped out and decided to let a plumber install some PEX and a new shower diverter in my bathroom.
The diverter is a delta. After the plumber went home I noticed a very slow drip from 3 of the connectons on the diverter. This is where the PEX adapter screws to the diverter body.
I called the plumber back and he used a wrench on each of the fittings and a LOT of force. I THINK it may have stopped leaking now.
My question is, should he have to use this much force to stop the leak? And, heturned the adapters about a turn and a half total with the PEX connected! I am afraid the PEX connections might have weakened since they were rotated after they were crimped.
Am I worrying too much?
