Trying to replace the diverter valve any help would be great.Can't get the old diverter off water line
 
Thats a kitchen faucet with a vegetable sprayer, right? Where is the diverter?

you may be talking about the sprayer. It should unscrew counterclockwise. Hold the base of the sprayer and grab the sprayer and unscrew it
 
Its a regular sprayer the diverters bad and thers locks on both connections
 
i don't mean the supply lines i mean the spayer line and the water line that go through the diverter valve
