Fluidmaster Flush 'n Sparkle compatibility

I just bought a Fluidmaster Flush 'n Sparkle and tried to install it but my toilet doesn't use a refill tube to the overflow pipe. Instead it seems another non-flexible tube empties water out at the bottom of the tank. I'm not sure what this kind of system is called. Is it incompatible with the Flush 'n Sparkle? Is there a way to adapt it?
