Help,
We have new tile installed that is 3/4 in. above the existing floor flange. The problem is in order to bring the flange up to floor level you have to rip up the floor and cut out the existing flange. What can you put in to take up the 3/4 in.? I have heard that the plastic flange extenders leak, the ones we bought have only a small rubber gasket, and we would have to use both the 1/2 and 1/4 in. pcs. together. In addition the existing flange is a oftset flange.
Thanks
Turtle

flange

Which offset flange? The one with a round opening or the oval one? If it is the oval one, the extenders will not work, and even using double wax rings can be "iffy".

You did not say what type of pipe you are working with. I have used the Oatey PVC extenders with cast iron pipes. You do have to wire brush the pipe out good, a wire brush on a drill works out best.

In this case a Toto Uni-adapter was being installed, where the flange was not holding the toilet in place. It worked out very well.

Oakey also makes one in cast iron, but most supply houses do not seem to carry it.
