Im currently doing a bath remodel and need to move cast vent stack 5 foot straight in line. But thats not my problem, what size stack can I get away with? There's only 1 toilet, sink, and bath on the line and I need the wall to be 2x4 stud. help

It depends on local code.
UPC code allows the bathroom to be vented with a 2" line, assuming that there are other vents going through the roof that make up the full area of pipe leaving the home.
Normally, the kitchen would have a 1.5" vent,
And the second bath would have a 2" vent,
Meaning the first bath could have a 2" vent.
That's why, when you look at the roof, there are so many pipes sticking out.

A 3" waste would need
2-2" vents
1-1-1/2" vent

Or
1-3" vent

thanks for the response, I will check the code for my area, but are you saying I should be able to use 3 1/2" if vented out a 4" stack?
