I just wasted $250+ in water because an outside faucet failed and I didn't know it for several days. I wish I had some sort of whole-house monitoring device that would shut my water off completely after a certain number of minutes continuous flow. I've found products that shut the water off after water triggers a floor sensor. I can see how that would be worthwhile, but that device would not have helped me at all with the outside faucet. Plus, I'd have to have MANY floor sensors. Ideas, anyone? Thanks!
