What kind of trap should I be using for the tub drain? Fully glued only, or should it have a screw-together fitting for the P trap? Or does it not matter?

Glued is a better idea. Either one will work, but why take the chance of a leak developing at a joint in the future. It may not be eaiser, but its always better to do things right the first time.
