I am moving my bathtub to a different area in my master bath. I was wondering if I could tie into the bath drain into the vent line for the washer and dryer drain, that extends up the wall and directly underneath where my new tub will be?
I don't think you can because then the washer would be wet vented and it's likely the water coming from the tub would suck the washer trap dry. Maybe you could put an AAV on the washer drain and be ok? Let's let someone else chime in though too.
We are such creatures of habit. Washer and dryer are used together so much it's like they were one word. Another of my favorites is hot water heater. I've never seen one, and I'm not sure how they work. What do you get when you heat hot water? Steam I suppose.

Thats one of my favorites too, because, when ever someone says they haven't seen one I like to show them one... This would be a "Hot Water Heater!" http://www.bradfordwhite.com/images/shared/pdfs/specsheets/405.pdf They are also kown as "Booster Heaters." They simply take hot water and make it hotter. They are commonly used to raise the rinse water temperature for dishwashers in commercial kitchens.
