I'm remuddling a bathroom, and it's time to replace the stop valves under the lav, I thought I knew where the cut off valves were in the basement. Ha!
I went to where I thought they were, shut off the valves, and returned. Good thing I checked before I cut off the old sink stops.
It turns out there are no cut off valves for this sink, I'll have to cut in some new ball valves downstairs. That's not the problem.
I just want to know about turning off the water. If I shut down the house main input valve, that should stop the HOT water flow also, yes?
And should I shut off the heater? Or not needed?
Is that the rule? No cold in, not hot out? Or will I have to drain some off in the basement bar sink?
Thanks Guys and Gals
