Pressure gauge not working

on 50 ft shallow well,old pressure gauge not working.
i have rerplace with a new one, it also does not register
the pressure, what goes here. i turned the power off,cut off the water supply to house and replaced gauge,then turned
power back on and oppened the vauve for water to go to the house. the gauge does not show any pressure. ge pump with foot vallve. thanks wayne

If you are getting water, there is probably something blocking the pipe to the pressure gauge.

Lots of times the opening where the gauge screws in is completely covered over with Sulphur. You will have to tap a screw driver or like device through the hole to open it. Then the gauge should work. Be sure the pressure is all out of the system before trying this.
