Door Clearance?

I am going to buy a surface mount sub panel. I am planning to mount the sub panel 3†to the right of the main panel. The problem is that the door on the sub panel will not be able to open 180* because of the meter sticking out of the main. I doubt my inspector would make any thing of it. But is that an issue?

No. The door only needs to open 90 deg. Provides the other proper clearances are met.
