My wife recently noticed what appeared to be some sort of mold on our dining room floor up against one wall. After taking the floor molding off, I noticed that the sheetrock appeared to have been wet at one time. After cutting out the sheetrock about a foot off the ground, I think I found the problem. Around 20 years ago I added onto my house and it was at this wall where the new slab was poured up against the old slab. Problem seems to be that over the years a small crack has developed between the 2 slabs allowing moisture to come up from the ground. What do I need to use to pour into this crack to fix the problem? I was thinking about a liquid type of cement sort of like the self leveling cement. Please help me.
