Is there a maximum vertical drop from a toilet flange to the 90* elbow?

I am considering a design which would have an ~18â€ drop to an elbow, then a 7â€™ x 4" horizontal arm then a vertical vent.

I am planning a major bathroom re-configuration. I am trying to avoid a lot of cement cutting. I will have my work inspected.

With UPC plumbing code, it's six feet developed length from the flange to the vent.

I have an old book that says I can have a tolet 10' away from the vent if I use 4" pipe.

Are you quoting a rule for 3" pipe? Or is my book out dated?

3" and 4" for toilet.

If you have things other than a toilet, then it's 10 feet for 4" and six for 3"
But a toilet is always six feet whether it's 3" or 4"

Thanks for the clarification.

So is there a limit to the length of the drop? or could I have a 5' drop into an elbow?

My code allows up to 20" drop without a seperate vent on WC's, a 4" line can run up to 8' without a vent.
It all depends on your local code.
My code says your ok.
