I removed my Devonshire tank to paint behind it. While replacing the tank one of the toilet to bowl bolts fell in the toilet opening that the resorvoir connects to. Is there any trick to the retrieval or must I remove the toilet bowl and turn it upside down?

Got a magnet on a string? You might get lucky... of course, you might need a brass magnet, now that I think of it.

They're at your local hardware store right next to the aluminum magnets!

AL magnets

Check with your waster recycler and you might find that they do use an aluminum magnet to separate cans from the mass.
