Hi Guys,

I've noticed people giving opinions on settings of polypipe and galv and where to set it. Just wondering where you guys draw the limit? I personally use polypipe for most settings up to 400'. I've personally sold polypipe upwards of 600' on 200# pipe depending on HP of pump used and static of drawdown. What's the common practice in your area? 85% of the pumps I've installed in CT is on polypipe using a mapp gas torch to heat pipes and make connections. Tell me how things differ depending on your area.

I personally like Galvanized, but since everyone has gone to PVC, I have been forced to follow suit. If a pump gets stuck in a well, you have a far better chance of getting it out with galvanized than you will with plastic. Since price is the only thing people buy these days, we do what we have to do.
