Water hammer arrestors

I live in Michigan (Genesee County), and I'm about to plumb my new house with PEX and had some questions about water hammer arrestors. Since pex inherently limits water hammer am I required by code to place arrestors in my cloths washer, ice maker, dishwasher and humidifier supply loops?

It does not eliminate the water hammer. It eliminates the symptoms of it, namely the "bang". The shock is still there, however.
