Dishwasher Remodel

I installed a new D/W to the right of the sink. It is an old house and there is a row of drawers between the sink and the D/W. Initially I did not install a siphon break. As a result??? the D/W was always left with water in the bottom.
I then installed a siphon break to the right side of the D/W bit it now leaks about a pint. I am using the drain line that came with the D/W and 7/8id line from the siphon to the sink. However it is close to an 8ft run.
Any suggestions?

Please post a picture of your dishwasher plumbing.

An air-gap should not normally leak, so it sounds like your drain hose may be plugged. That would also explain why all the water doesn't drain from the DW.

The disposal is new and I did remove the plug.
The drain line from the air gap is new and 7/8id.
