i have a 80' 2" well with the water table 19' it has a drop pipe 40' with a two stage pump. if i pull the 11/4" drop pipe and go to a above ground shallow well pump how long of a drop pipe do i need, do i put a foot valve on the bottom or a check valve on top, or both. the reason for this is the well is about 14 yrs. old galv. pipe i have already pulled it once an replaced the leathers and is still leaking down. don't know if the galv. pipe is still good.
