new shower

I live in a bilevel and looking to place a shower in the second floor. I'd like advise on best materials for the shower floor - Tiles( procelain) vs arcylic base.

A properly constructed shower does not leak, and will last for decades. There are all sorts of options. Check out www.johnbridge.com. I prefer a tiled base, the plastics end up looking messy after awhile; very quick if you aren't careful. Look at Kerdi at www.schluter.com or Wedi at www.wedi.de for two systems for a shower. There are more than a few ways to make a good shower, but lots of ways to do it wrong.
