Why not make folks, looking for help ,list aprox. where they live ?
We can serve them better if we know if there in a frost zone or florida.
Also local members will know what flies with any special amendments to local codes. Thank's Tool

Make them?

It would be nice if they did. Then we would know what code they are using.
So, if you haven't yet, look at UserCP at the top left, and edit your profile to list what state you are from, then we'll know which code you are working under,
Thanks,
Terry Love

terry,

if you are able to customize the fields, i'd ask you relabel them all to make the whole series refer to things needed to know.

For Example

climate:
code: UPC, IPC,

and yes location.

some states and provinces are big, (bigger then France and even bigger than Texas), so the state code alone is not enough information.

Climate is a biggie. One guy is in "cold NY" - must be colder than Lake Placid in winter.

This thread makes for a pretty ironic read, considering...

Toolaholic's profile says nothing about his location, and Geniescience's is deliberately vague...

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but: how about leading by example, guys?

Instead of giving Terry more work?

Just gave it HONEY! :p

the field asking for my location is where I gave mostly a climate answer
the field asking for interests made me say that I am interested in filling out fields... and most specially when the field asks the right question.

etc etc

besides, i am not asking for advice much.

it all comes down to the fact that so many of the same questions get asked again and again. Let's robotize this.

Toolaholic: I'm not seeing it on your post header... SNOOKUMS! :D

David: your sardonic answers cover the climate issues, but not the code question. Besides, "cold" and "hot" are pretty relative terms...

Just saying: even if Terry creates the fields... there's no way to guarantee people will fill them out: you two being a handy example.
