I just had a new well pump installed(500 feet deep) and water delivered down my well after my well had run dry. I have plenty of pressure and flow when I do not have a whole house filter installed, but when I put one in I lose pressure and flow quickly and the filter has collected a lot of sediment even though I had just put it in. Also, when the filter is not in, there is a lot of sediment that comes out of the faucets. I had the water delivery on Sunday morning and have been using the water ever since. Could my problem be that the sediment needs time to settle(if so how long) or should I just keep installing new filters until the sediment works itself out?

Yes pouring water into a well is going to stir up sediment in the well. Letting it set to settle to the bottom or pumping the well out until it clears are your choices, other than replacing cartridges that BTW should not be used for POE filters, but then the well can go dry again... so water conservation should be a top priority.
