Greetings.
I'm about to install a water heater(electric) and have questions about the flexible copper connectors(HD and most local plumbing supply stores have them). Do I need one on both the cold water inlet and hot water outlet?
The ones I've seen have what looks like a hose pipe connection with a rubber washer in the threaded end. If this is used on the hot water outlet, can the washer handle the heat? Also, would the stainless flexible connectors be better? Thanks for any comments. Roshe

No problem. The corrugated copper inflow/outflow connectors are designed for the hot and cold side. The washer can stand the heat. It's only going to get to about 150F. Another alternative is to use the braided hoses that they sell at home depot. I think they are a little less expensive. I found the flexible copper connectors for a really good price at a plumbing supply house here in Los Angeles. They are called Express Pipe.

Good luck,

jonathan

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably use the copper. They're about $6 each at Home Depot. Have a good day. Roshe
