When I installed my new water hear (40 gal) this past spring, I had to put it in my crawl space. In order to stand it up, I had to dig a hole in the ground, about 1 foot deep. Water has recently been collecting there so I am going to
drain the heater and then using straps, jack it up out of the hole and put bricks under neath. This will put the top of it btw my floor joists. Are there any flexible attachments made for water heaters that I can screw into the top of the heater that can flex down and be sweated onto the 3/4 " copper pipe?

heater

I hope this is an electric water heater. If so, then you can screw brass elbows onto the top of the heater and then attach the flex lines to them. But the next time buy a "stubby" water heater which is only 34" high.

There are flexible copper supply lines available as well which include threaded connections on each end; probably best used with the elbows. www.watts.com makes some as well as others.

water heater

it IS a stubby. i just got back from hardware store. i bought two 18 inch flex hoses to go to the electric water heater. hopefullay all will work. they don't sweat, they are compression fittings that go to the 3/4 " copper...
