replacing closet flange - not much pipe to work with!

here's my issue -- i am replacing a subfloor before a new tile job and intend to replace the closet flange after the tile floor is down. i am concerned with the lack of pvc pipe that will be available to work with after removing the old flange.

suggestions will be must appreciated!

what is the problem???

you have a football field to work with

all you have to do is cut it back on the horizontal
run and then just put a new coupling, new elbow
and new toilet flange....and about a foot or so of new pipe...

i wasn't sure if going all the way back to the horizontal was the "proper" thing to do. i guess that's why you are master plumber mark and i am the newbie!
