The sub house drain is that which is below the house drain and requires a pump to get the soil/waste up to the house drain/house sewer/public sewer etc...

I'm wondering if it's possible to set up the d.w.v in such a way as to use the flush from toilets above (perhaps two stories higher or more) to siphon waste/soil out and pust it up to house drain.

I figure that the user would have to be able to release water with a trip on the low level which would release water from the higher level. The siphon action might have to be created by the first slug of water sent down and the actual push action would be created by a second flush or slug of water.

I'm thinking it would be less than efficient compared to the pump but, just want to know if this idea could work.

Mainly my thoughts were along the line of is that possible. I am apt to guess that it is not done that way because the other way is simpler and more effiecient...it just would have a appeal otherwise.

Build a scale model:eek:

If really small scale it would be too costly on apprentice pay and too much research, trial and error involved.

If real scale...yikes!

I asked my foreman about this Friday and he concurred on the basis of this being too impractical to work.

thanks for answers.:D

Eric, though the idea was far-fetched...keep thinking creatively..it'll pay dividends one day.
