Leaky Faucet

I just put in a new faucet, everything seemed fine but I noticed a small, but steady drip of water coming down the lift rod. I have no idea how water is coming down the rod. I've checked the water supply hookups and there's no leak there.

Any ideas?

If it's a steady drip down the lift rod, then there must be a leak in the faucet itself. May be a manufactering defect.

I installed one for a customer a couple of days ago that had a flood coming from the lift rod. I told her to take it back to Home Depot and exchange it for one that was not defective.
