Could an old water heater cause loss of water pressure? My WH is about 18 yrs old and probably should be replaced. When our outside faucet, or washing machine are on the inside water from the faucets is extremley low pressure. This was not a problem in past years and only started about a month ago.

Any ideas???

Low Pressure

It sounds like your cold water pressure is also low. That would rule out your water heater as being the source of the problem.

Possible explanations:

Main water shut-off not fully opened.
Water leak.
The incoming water pressure has dropped from the city or your well.
your faucet aerators are all limed up and blocking the flow.

I just checked the main. I could turn it 4x. I must have not turned it on full when we got back from vacation in January.
How simple. She is going to try 2 faucets on tonite and see if it is back to normal.
