We are in the midst of a kitchen remodel on a concrete slab floor. One of the changes that I am looking forward to is a window above my kitchen sink. We have discovered that the kitchen sink vent is the direct path of where I want my kitchen window. My hsb & our plumber don't think that there are any good options that will meet code. I would greatly appreciate some ideas as I am really, really disappointed about this!
Thank you!

In new construction, they would put the offset to the side of the window, and angle the trap arm over towards the sink. That way the vent can rise vertically off the san tee. You could ask if your inspector would accept a horizontal offset of your vent, but the risk is clogging that vent, and he may not want to approve it. Any possibility of moving the stack over to the side of the window?

What about backing the vertical pipe off of the wall and using an AAV (studor vent)? Not the best option and you would lose alot of cabinet space. Obviously not the best choice but it may let you keep your window.
