Hello , maybe someone can help me. I have recently replaced my old shower/tub valve with a new kohler shower valve and ran new copper pipe (as it will now be a shower only) and now the hot water when fully open flows very slowly while the cold line is a power stream in comparison. I used bread in the lines to dry them while I sweated them and I thought that it may have been the cause, but, after dismantling the valve body I found no obstructions ...oh the hot water to sink line flows beautifully

Many of the new valves have a high temperature limiting adjustment. You may have to look at the directions and adjust that. It could also be that you have some accumulated crud (maybe bread) stuck in the hot side. You might need to take the cartridge out and flush it.

thank you for the reply ,but cartridge is clear . I am wondereing if maybe it will take some time to completely flush the bread out and why it is only on the hot side.... the most vital side for my showers

Does this model have little slotted stops near the cartridge? Perhaps you didn't full open the one on the hot side, or possibly the hot shutoff behind your access panel is not fully open.
