Odd Water Pressure Issues

I have a 55 yr old house with 2 sink faucets and 1 bath/shower. Recently, the pressure at the kitchen faucet has been noticeably less than previously (and less than the upstairs faucet currently). However, I can increase the water pressure to "regular" by using the spray hose at the kitchen sink for just a second, after which the faucet goes back to typical pressure.

Any ideas on this? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Thank you.

If you remove the faucet aerator, does the same thing happen?

kitchen faucet diverter

the faucet has a diverter in it dont know what brand you have but they can get clogged up and will not
let water out the soput but out the sprayer...

you got to break down the spout and somewher inside the
fauce you will most likely find the diverter which needs to be removed and thrown away or replaced...

if it is a Delta , that is an easy one. to figure out.

thanks for the help...
i did clean out the faucet aerator but it didn't help.

i will check the diverter. the faucet is a price pfister if that makes a difference.

also, when fiddling with it tonight, i noticed that if i use the faucet, when i turn it off, there is one squirt of water from the detached hose sprayer. once i "clear" that line, the main faucet has normal pressure again.
