My son recently bought a house with a lovely jacuzzi tub in the master bath but no shower. The tub is is large, has about a 1 1/2 inch lip, and is bordered by ceramic tile with no way to drain excess water. There is not enough room to build a separate shower in the bathroom. Is there a way to install a shower within the jacuzzi that won't leak water all over the tile surround and the floor?

a curtain will work.
tempered glass might work. Cost is 100 times more.
in the long term, the tiled walls might need attention, where they are siliconed onto the tub edge, just to make sure that water isn't collecting there under the tile and then wicking moisture back up into the wall behind the tile. That is what a vapor barrier is for. You probably don't have one since this was not designed to be a tub-shower.
