I have a 100 foot deep well and I dont know anything about how to talk about this so I will just try. The well is 100 Ft deep I have a big blue tank about waist high to hold water the well pump looks like a swimming pool pump? it's above ground on top of the bladder tank. My pressure switch comes on at 70 psi and cuts out at about 85 psi. What should the air pressure be in the bladder tank to work the best? I cant afford a new pump like a deep well pump or something any help woul;d be great. Please e-mail me at shotzie988@aol.com with any questions or anyhelp I dont get on the WEB much just to check my mail:confused:

The pressure settings on your switch are very high. Why do you need it that high?

It sounds like you have a jet pump but those pressures are higher than most jet pumps will deliver. Is there a manufacturers name and model number on the pump. Does it have one pipe (shallow well jet pump) or two pipes (deep well jet pump) going from the pump to the well?

Do you know how far down the water is. The well may be 100 ft deep but the water sometimes comes closer to the surface and that is what determines how the pump works.

The air pressure when the tank is empty is usually set at about 2 psi less than the pressure switch setting.

What is your water source?

Are you having problems with the system?
