hydraulic concrete question

What is the life span of hydraulic concrete?

A couple of places where pipes are coming into the house
is surrounded by hydraulic cement. They also used
hydraulic cement to cover the holes from the forms used to
pour the foundation.


Anyway water comes through a few places where they used the
hydraulic cement. This has only started the last couple of years.
The house is almost 20 years old.

I could chip is out/replace it. Or let the water go into the french drain.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Hydraulic concrete is based on portland cement. Some of it has been around for 2000 years. It should last longer than the house if it was properly mixed and is not subjected to freeze/thaw cycles.
