The flapper doesn't seem to be sealing properly, so the toilet keeps running. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

flapper

We cannot tell you without seeing it, but some old toilets with a brass overflow pipe will not work with a flapper. And if you used a universal flapper, you have to cut the round ring out of the back before you connect it to the two ears.

Thanks, hj. We already did that and it didn't work. The problem seems to be with the flapper not sealing the hole properly, kwim?

Since there is no adjustments on it, if that is true then you must have a defective one. Especially if the old one did not have the problem.
