We are switching out bathroom fixtures from brass to brushed chrome.

One of the small items we would like to change is the small pipe coming out of the wall, which is tiled, that goes to the small valve then rubber hose line that feeds water to the toilet.

Is this pipe screwed in like a shower stem or is it generally sodered?

Your hidden connection will usually be the same as the exposed one. How does the shut off connect to the "small pipe"? If threaded, it's most likely threaded inside the wall as well. If not................

valve

We would have to see a picture of the pipe. It may be a copper tube with a compression valve. If so, the tube can be cut off so that it does not show and a new compression valve installed. If this is your connection, be sure not to cut the pipe so short that a valve will not fit back on.

Thanks Gentlemen,

I know what to look for now. All good comments.

Will tackle tomorrow.
