I have been in irrigation over 25 years

First question, there isnt a problem installing the risers for the plants.But the rule of thumb is you should water plants seperate than grass.Grass needs more water less often and plants need less water more often.
Second Question,You should never glue a riser in to a fitting. Because if it breaks off then you have to replace the fitting.You should use a swing joint or a flecks line.
